Ron E. Demetralis, 46, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, in West Chicago.

He was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Aurora.

He attended schools in Yorkville and was a downstate champion in wrestling. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox and any team his children played on. Also his maternal grandmother, Pal Marlan of Tampa, Fla. And his nieces and nephews, Tawnie Williams, Alex Demetralis, Chris Demetralis, Kevin Beardsley and Kami Beardsley.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Ted, Jan & Family, We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Ron's passing. We got to know him better when he wrestled in High School (ancient history!) Always smiling and full of fun. You are a happy family and I know that will return as you cherish his memory. Our prayers are with you for the long term.

Teddie, I was so sorry to hear about Ronnies passing. I remember when we all worked side by side, getting the Walt's Supermarket in St. Charles going together. I worked with Ron Mascione, and Russ Hartkopp, and I fondly remember how "Ronnie D" always made my day. He ws a great kid, and I really feel for you. He used to come to my house, and we would have marathon games of table hockey, followed by many games of Dark Tower. We all loved your son, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him. I feel for you Teddie D....All my blessings...

I remember your family from coming into Yorkville Pizza Hut quite regularly when I worked there back in 1983. I also knew Tania and John from some school and church functions. I graduated from Newark. My heart goes out to all of you. I remember you all as such a nice family and I will keep you in my prayers.

My sympathy goes out to Barb and the kids. I only know the family on a professional basis ( I was their hygienist for 14 years!) Nick and Kelsey were some of the few teens who were sociable and polite, I always looked forward to them coming in. That only comes from great parenting and great people.

With the deepest of sympathies, my prayers are with your family. Even though, Nick is the only one I knew, as I saw him everyday on campus, I could tell that he had the support and love from a loving family. May the comfort and love of God, family and friends give you the strength needed to get through this difficult time.. sincerely Debbie Doo

Your family is in my morning prayers. May you feel the love of God and all of your friends during this very sad time.
Kelsey is really the only family member I know, but knowing her tells me that this must be a wonderful family; Kelsey is a fine young lady and I enjoyed having her in class this last year.
You have my very deepest sympathy.

Deepest sympathies on the loss of cousin Ron. He was always smiling in the pictures and the one with him and Nano that Nana has on her wall has always been a favorite. We will be hitting the beach in a few weeks, so will toss some shells into the gulf in his honor. Love, Cherryl
