Mike's eyes for Annette

So many of us miss Annette already, which makes my heart goes out to Mike whose love shows through so clearly in this picture snapped at their wedding, in his attentive and devoted daily care, and in everything he's written and said about her. And to all her family who loved her so dearly. Annette made everything we did together fun. As much as she enjoyed dressing up for a good party, she also made it fun for us to study Spanish together, to tend our gardens together breaking the mold for the artistic touches that make it unique, to walk our neighborhoods and enjoy our neighborhood art walks. Thank you for all the ways you made my life better and more fun--love you, Annette.

Annette was a true jewel. I worked with her at Horizon and had the joy of seeing her huge caring heart in action everyday as she worked with her students and other teachers. She genuinely touched the lives of so many, including me.

I worked with Annette at Horizon many years ago. I loved her. She could be so funny at times. Once she was in Mazatlan at the same time my husband and I were. We drove her all up and down the area. I'm sure they are telling stories up in Heaven right now. Michael, I'm so sorry for your loss. You were so good for each other.

All of us who had the honor of knowing Annette and teaching alongside her are feeling a huge sense of loss. She was always a bright light and filled with joy! My condolences to her family and friends...she was truly a rare gem.

Annette had spunk! No pretense - loved that! One of the greatest films made was, Forrest Gump (!) because that film taught us that THE most important thing is to live in our hearts! Annette lived in her big, very beautiful heart...and brought joy to everyone around her - joy! God now has her in his hands - we get to have her in our now-bigger hearts XXOO Marie Pence

She was a beautiful lady with an incredible smile. Such a wonderful, caring and fun disposition; smart and talented.
Annette had the gift of making others feel cared about and accepted. She was a real gem and a joy to know...she will be missed by all who knew, cared about and loved her.

Although we did not meet in person, I felt I knew Annette. A mutual friend, John Cass spoke of her often. He informed me of her passing and suggested I read the loving tribute written by her husband.
