HOWARD SHAPIRO Obituary

SHAPIRO--Howard A. Died May 17, 2021 at age 89 in New York City surrounded by loving family. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Ellie, their sons David (Tamara) and Andrew (Victoria), daughter Diane Allingham (Jeff), four grandsons, Robert (Amanda) and Bradley Shapiro, Adam Graser and Benjamin Allingham, and great-grandson Reid Shapiro. Howard was born on May 12, 1932 and was raised in Albany, NY. He attended, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College ('53) and Harvard Law School ('56), where he served as a senior Note Editor on the Harvard Law Review. In July 1956 Howard joined Proskauer Rose in NYC and enjoyed a distinguished career as a corporate lawyer until his retirement in 1997. Howard enjoyed many diverse interests, but most of all he loved and relished time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be private. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, May 23, 2021, 2:00-4:00pm. at Frank Campbell The Funeral Chapel at 1076 Madison Avenue.
