BARBARA DIAMOND Obituary

DIAMOND--Barbara L., passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019. Born November 10, 1942, cherished daughter of the late Irving and Doris Diamond and beloved sister of the late Renee J. Diamond. Barbara loved all the arts and especially music. She greatly appreciated the 92nd Street Y for all its programs and individuals. Barbara was bright and gifted, graduating Smith College, earning an MBA from Columbia University and a Master's in Music from New York University. Upon leaving the business world, Barbara taught piano for twenty years and wrote poetry. Her books includes Songs, Antique End Tables, All I Have is a Poem, and Chinese Ceramics. She is survived by her loving brother Robert S. Diamond, sister-in-law Marie Norton, and nephew Patrick H. Norton. She will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at "The Riverside" 76th St. and Amsterdam Ave. on Thursday, January 10 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her honor to the 92nd Street Y at 92y.org
