ALAIN CHASTAGNOL Obituary

CHASTAGNOL--Alain, beloved husband of Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz/Chastagnol and Officer of the French Legion d'Honneur on Saturday, January 16, 2009 in Paris, France. Funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of Sainte Clothilde, 23bis rue Las Cases, Paris, on Friday January 22nd at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to: la Fondation des Bernardins 7, rue St. Vincent 75018 Paris - France, or Association Cantica Sacra Le Sanctuaire 46500 Rocamadour - France would be appreciated.

Dear Carolle,

I just learned of Alain's passing and wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to you. We just had lunch together at Le Colonial in NY! I always had a great fondness for Alain since we shared so many interests. He was a true aristocrat and I am sure you are hearing from scores of people, sharing the same sentiments.

Please let me know when you are next in NY so we can get together.
