Arthur Iger was a kind, loving and brilliant man who loved life and talked about his family everyday. He was my friend. A man who always listened and was not afraid to tell it like it was. We spent many hours over lunch after his retirement from the New York Institute of Technology talking politics, advertising, religion and family. Oh, how he loved his grand kids his children and his wife. What a loss to our world.
Goodbye my friend and thank you for being part of my life. I hope you know how many students, faculty and friends you impacted. You will be forever remembered.

Long a member of the Advisory Committee of the Communication Arts Department at the New York Institute of Technology before he became an adjunct faculty member, Arthur Iger was instrumental in gaining NY State Education Department approval of NYIT's degree in advertising, only the second such program in the state at the time. He supported a nationwide survey of advertising executives on curriculum content and assisted NYIT faculty and administration in tapping the expertise of local professionals in the field. Respected and loved as a teacher and mentor, Mr. Iger shared his wealth of experience with both undergraduate and masters' students. They knew he was special, as did his colleagues in the department. May I offer most sincere condolences to the family at this time, but must say in my mind's eye, I see Arthur approaching with that broad smile, a sparkle in his eye ... and a new idea would be under discussion momentarily.
