Just heard about this gentleman now via a touching social media post. I wanted to offer condolences to his loved ones and wish him peace. He sounded like a gifted and thoughtful man. Rest in peace, dear Sir.

I met Daven when he briefly lived in Springfield, IL in 2006-2007 and we spent a lot of time together that year. Once he borrowed a cello from the local music store and walked miles with it to my house to play Bach's Cello Suite No.1 in G for my family while we ate dinner as a way to thank me for our friendship. It was the single most wonderful gesture anyone has ever made for me and even now, I can't type this without a few tears. He was the most awesome friend I've ever had and there will never be another one like him. Sadly, he passed away not long after going back to NY and we never got to speak again. If anyone sees this that knows him, I would love to exchange stories about him - [email protected]

Cheers to Daven, for a life well lived. Daven, you made music, you made people happy, you were kind to anyone who needed a friend, and we threw some monster parties in our days at Juilliard. To all the dancers you offered a pad to, and all the musicians you offered a dancer to...LOL, party on in the afterlife, friend. You walked the walk of the musician, and you leave a lot of people behind who really adored you. I can be included in this group.

Daven, your time was too short. I well remember how kind you were when I was awestruck by being at Juilliard and you threw me a lifeline of logic and normalcy.
