Marcy,
I'm so sorry I only now found this site and am sending this message. Dave was always so nice to me and supported me along with you through my rough adolescence. I hope you are well and happy today. I'm not sure how we lost touch again, but you have always been an important influence in my life. I'm well, living in Oregon and teaching Psychology. My e-mail is [email protected]. Be well my old friend.

Dear Mrs. Sabo, you will not remember me though we met a few times at The Gorham when I was the Director of Sales & Marketing working with your wonderful husband. At the time my fiancé was living in Asia and my parents were living in Florida. I was 23. Mr. Sabo stepped in and filled so many roles for me during a challenging time, friend and father. We would often have lunch and dinner together during which he would go on and on and on and on about you and the children. He was so proud of you all. He was so in love with being the patriarch of your family. I googled him today hoping to get in touch with him 23 years later! He hired me on my 23rd birthday and tomorrow I will be 46. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. We too lost our patriarch on June 26th at the age of 95. I am going to replace the sadness I feel today with thankfulness that our lives touched albeit briefly. So many laughs and lessons from such a good man. Thank you all for sharing him with me and countless others... With my kindest wishes, Jude Rozenveld-Woodstock

My dad was a wonderful man-extremely smart, dashing with his bushy hair and big eyebrows. He took care of me and made sure that I had everything that I needed even though I was only his by marriage. He always made me feel loved and wanted. I will miss our verbal spars at the dinner table, his company at all our family holidays and especially at my son's wedding. I know he wanted to be there in person but he will be there in spirit. Dad, I hope you are resting in peace. You will always be in my heart. I will miss you dearly.

Uncle David was an incredibly warm spot in my world. I am so happy that John had the ability to meet and spend a bit of time with Dave during his last visit to Arizona! Although too many years went by between visits, he has always in my thoughts and we chat fondly about him often. I loved Dave more than I can truly express and am incredibly saddened that this world lost such a wonderful man. Many hugs and much love to Marcy, as always.

Love,
Marilizabeth

Dave was a dear friend of over 40 years. An accomplished and sensible businessman with a personal touch and a mind interested in learning and listening. I will have fond memories of him. Antonio Carosi

David Sabo was my father's - Lipa Sabo - 1st cousin. David's (and Rita Weingold's) father - Haime - was brother to my grandmother - Luba. Fortunately for Haime he left old Europe and 'shteitle' in time. He came to America and established roots. Haime's family that remained in Europe, perished in the Holocaust. My father survived.

David allways said to me that he feels our blood relationship deep inside him. We are both Sabos he said whenever we met. We should be committed to our blood relationship. I know he was. I will continue to be.

Although a generation apart, I always felt comfortable with David. He let me feel family. He knew to converse with me (as with anyone around him) directly and simply. Person to Person. Heart to Heart. Mind to Mind.

In the last years I have seen less and less of David and I regret this.

I cherish David's memory and send my love to Marcy, Jeannie, Darcy Chuck and the entire Sabo Clan in the USA.

I hope that the Sabos will continue to maintain relationship.

David will be missed, may he R.I.P and may memories, prayers, and the love and support of family and friends provide you with a measure of comfort at this time of pain and grief

I only knew David for a few years at the end of his life, as his daughter Jeanne is my dear friend. Even when his health was declining, he was full of good humor and charm. He also had the most magnificent, expressive eyebrows. I loved sitting next to him on Sunday nights when I was invited for Chinese food with the family and sharing eggplant with garlic sauce, which he loved. David was dynamic and funny and made you feel like you gently amused him when you were in his company. I am saddened by the loss and send my love and deepest sympathies to his loving family and friends.

Love,
Rachel

I will miss him! He was always nice to me, showed interest in what I do, and I think, that he respected me as I did him.
