I was at the service today. It was clear to me that all of Jim's great qualities -- and Adrienne's too -- live on in their three children.

It is with total shock that I have just read the news of the death of Jim. What a lovely chap he was. A pleasure to work and to have as company. Very professional, reliable and full of energy and fun. He was very much part of the building of the very successful US Fleming Investment team and business. My best wishes and condolences to his family.

Jim was universally liked and respected at Flemings so it is wholly appropriate that so many of the diaspora of former employees have recorded their sadness on hearing of his death. He was an able and unselfish colleague, a good and loyal friend and was just such fun to be with at work or play.

I loved meeting Jim at The Causeway Club and am very sorry to hear about his death. He was so obviously a wonderful person. I had always hoped that he and Nicky would come play golf at Royal St George’s and Sunningdale. So Nicky, I hope you come. My condolences to your family. You can reach me on [email protected]

Saddened to learn of Jim’s passing, way too soon. He was a true gentlemen with a warm smile and a great sense of humour.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He had a wonderful sense of humor, great thurst for adventure -- while maintaining great style and charm. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

James G Conzelman lll was a very fine man and drinking buddy. Not sure I ever heard him say a bad word about anyone and he was still enormous fun. Not many of those around. Good to have known you Jim.

So sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I've only known Jim since 2016 through his most recent role at AETOS as my investor relations contact but I always enjoyed my interactions with him. Such a kind-hearted genuine person. His passing is a huge loss for all of us and my thoughts/prayers are with Jim's family.

I was shocked to learn this morning of Jim's passing and am deeply saddened to know he's no longer with us. We met 15 years ago through work only to realize we lived on the same street in Fairfield. Through the years and across different positions, we would catch up from time to time on the train home from NYC or over lunch or a coffee to compare notes on the business. The consummate gentleman and professional, Jim was also very approachable and always happy to lend an ear, make a connection or share an idea and I've been fortunate to be able to call him a friend. We shared the love of squash seeing each other from time to time at the Southport Racquet Club which is where I had the chance to meet his sons as well. And, as is often the case, you can tell a lot about a person by the children they raise and, while I've never had the pleasure of meeting you Adrienne, I saw a lot of Jim in the boys - friendly, polite, fun-loving and kind so it's comforting to know they will carry on in his and your footsteps.

I was lucky enough to meet Jim in the last several years through a mutual friend, and my regard and admiration for him only grew each time we were able to spend time together. He was a gentleman in every sense, a rare person whose personal grace was singular. I send my deepest sympathies to Jim's family and to all who had the privilege of knowing him far longer than I did.

Jim and I were classmates at Georgetown. Although we ran in different circles, Jim was known by all to be a class act and all around great guy. My deepest condolences to the Conzelman family. I have no doubt that Jim’s legacy will live on in his children. Well done, Jim...be thou at peace. Hoya Saxa.

Jim always smiled and looked you in face when greeting. Jim sought connection and authenticty in everything he was involved with. He made one feel listened to and appreciated. A wonderful man all around! Will miss him immensely but remember his light and glow.

I worked with Jim in New York in the mid 2000s. Such a lovely guy, full of life (especially when the Mets or Giants won!), he was a beacon of authenticity and courtesy in a space where these qualities were too rare, and so patient to share his business experience and advice. RIP Jim.

A friend from our freshman dorm at Georgetown, Jim and I shared music tastes. I still remember putting a tape in his stereo to listen to 801 Live and other Eno inspired tracks. His life was full and across many decades very sorry he has left the world too esrly

I selected a forest in memory of Jim. It’s not hard to figure out which tree is his, it’s the one everyone wants to be close to . I wanted a living, breathing organism to honor his life. xo Barron

This obituary perfectly captured Jim’s essence and spirit. He was always a breath of fresh air and demonstrated such a big “joie de vivre” - the kind of person you just wanted to have around because he made everything better. I never had more fun or felt more alive than dancing with him to our signature song at the pub in Georgetown. “Just take those old records of the shelf...”
RIP Jim. You may be gone, but your light will never be extinguished.
My sincere condolences to all the family members.

Introduced by his Georgetown roommates, I have fond memories of discovering London with Jim in the late eighties. Shall miss him.
