STUART JACKSON Obituary

JACKSON--Stuart A., age 89, of New York, husband of Rochelle died on March 22, 2018. Father of Stacey and Hap Perkins, Rita and Bart Jackson, Alexia and Dan Jackson, Margot and Ed Levy and Jessica and Kirk Donoho. Brother of Judge Elaine Jackson Stack. Grandfather to fifteen grandchildren and their spouses and one great grandchild. Stuart served two active duty tours in the United States Army and over 15 years in the Army Reserve retiring as a Lt. Colonel. A graduate of NYU and Harvard Law School, Stuart had an accomplished litigation practice spanning over sixty years. A dedicated supporter of Magen David Adom, Israel's EMS organization, he served for many years as one of the leaders of ARMDI-AFMDA and as Chairman of IMDAC. His proudest accomplishment was his work securing the membership of MDA to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Funeral services will be private. To the Jackson Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
