Mary Hambleton Obituary

HAMBLETON--Mary, 56, died January 9. Loving wife of 20 years to Ken Buhler, devoted mother to Jacob Hambleton Buhler, artist, teacher, Guggenheim Fellow (2007). She lived an inspired life, sweetened by the many friends and family she loved with passion. All who knew her, even briefly, felt embraced, enlivened, and blessed by her radiance, humor, intelligence, generosity, sparkling beauty, and by her magnificent art. Her engaging spirit, warmth, and courage never waned, even after six years of cancer, showing us all how it can be done. Mary, we will miss you forever. Preceded in death by her father, T. Edward Hambleton and sister Anne Hambleton, Mary is also survived by her mother, Merrell Hambleton, sisters Linda Panitz and Susan Hambleton, brothers Edward and Mark Hambleton, and by many adoring in-laws, nieces and nephews. www.maryhambleton.com. Donations in her name can be made to Added Value, www.added-value.org and The Fresh Air Fund, www.freshair.org

I have memories of you from San Francisco when we sang songs in canon about angels.
I was happy that we got connected briefly, once again, a few months ago through the internet.
