To the family of Alan Isler:
I am so sorry for your loss.
I was a student of your husband and father many years ago in a Hunter College summer session class on Shakespeare's Tragedies. It was bar none the best literature class I ever took. Subsequently I read Dr. Isler's novels. They were a revelation and a pleasure. Just now I was looking on line to see whether a new novel was available and learned this sad news. My condolences to you all.
