DONALD PELS Obituary

PELS--Donald A. The Board of Directors and staff of Asphalt Green mourn the passing on October 16 of our friend and supporter Donald A. Pels. As a Board Member during the organization's early years, Donald was deeply committed to helping New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds achieve health through a lifetime of sports and fitness. After stepping down from the Board in 1987, Donald continued to be one of Asphalt Green's most generous supporters, directly impacting the lives of thousands of New Yorkers. We share his loss with his wife, Wendy Keys, the Pels family, and friends to whom we extend our sincerest condolences.

I hope that Donald's son, Laurence, will see this. Laurence is/was one of my all-time favorites during his time at Salisbury School in Connecticut. He is testimony to the good upbringing of his parents. I have tried to reach him personally without success. Laurence...if you see this, my email is; [email protected]
