WILLIAM NEVINS Obituary
the son of Martha Nevins and the late Theodore Clare Nevins Jr., of Essex Fells, NJ died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the age of 57. Known as Billy to most, he was a longtime resident of New York City and Nantucket Island. Billy graduated from The Choate School and Boston College with a degree in Economics. He went on to work at Lehman Brothers, where he spent 20 years primarily as a senior salesman. He was an active member of The Players Club in New York City. Billy was a founding member of Secession Golf Club, Beaufort, SC. He was a passionate art collector and was an integral part of the New York art scene. Billy is survived by his mother Martha Nevins, his brother Theodore Clare Nevins III, his sister Audrey Nevins and her husband John McNamara and his sister Martha J. Nevins and her husband Michael Pawasarat, and his vast family of close friends. The memorial service will be held February 3, 2016 at St. Peter's Church in Essex Fells, NJ at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders or The Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

My thoughts and prayers are with Billy's family. I have many wonderful memories of Billy out at the South Mountain arena playing hockey. As an adult, we would run into each other at Pine Valley and catch up. He will be missed. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to the family..I am saddened by Billy's sudden departure. I know words cannot express the sorrow felt by everyone who knew the pleasure of his company.
My brother and I met Teddy and Billy in the early 70's on Nantucket and have always cherished that friendship.
He was a great guy with a great laugh. He will be missed.
