BARBARA HOHOL Obituary

HOHOL--Barbara (Baer),

passed away May 29 after a courageous final battle with cancer. Grateful for the six years she had after the first diagnosis, she lived well, traveling when she could and enjoying music and theatre. She was a community gardener, activist, craftswoman, and avid collector of folk art and crafts including northwestern coast and African sculpture and southwestern pottery. Her Upper Westside neighbors will miss her. Cats, Imp and Goblin seem happy together in their new home. A memorial celebration will be held at St. John the Divine on Monday, June 20 at 5pm.

We not only lost a wonderful artist, but a lady that had more personality than several people combined. She will be dearly missed,....The Log House Craft Gallery staff

Ours was the second to longest friendship I ever had. I still remember when we met in the woods at the border of Wantagh and Seaford in 1950. Now, every time I pass the Greyhound station in Binghamton I think of our last visit here in June '15. Your spirit will always hover nearby.
