BLUM--Stanley B.,

of Rhinebeck, NY, and New York City, died on August 4, 2016, at his home in Rhinebeck at age 97. A former shoe industry sales executive and realtor, Stanley was a renaissance man who spent his truly formative years painting, writing poetry, traveling and enjoying life with June, his beloved wife of 75 years. In addition to June, he leaves two children, Jane (Mark Reside) and Andrew (Adriana Davis); two sisters, Lilian Simon and Billie Dolin (Arnold); three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. Proceeded in death by adored sister Myrtle Blum. Stanley spent 13 years as Curator of the Jazz in July art exhibition at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to The Morton Memorial Library, Rhinecliff, with the anticipation of establishing a Jazz Collection; or Vincent Giordano (Jazz Historian) to continue his work preserving the History of Jazz.
