Words can't really express all of the wisdom, guidance, humor and love I received from Charlie for all of my life until now. Although I'm not related, the Platts are as close to family as anyone. I will miss him greatly. A really big hug to beautiful Joan.

It is with an incredibly sad heart that we write this. Charlie was a man we looked up to. A man with a wealth of knowledge, integrity, and candor. I will miss his stories, his view on the world and mostly his wit and common sense. He was a great man. I will sincerely miss our conversations.
