SHIRLEY DEFEO Obituary

DeFEO--Shirley Ann (nee Sharpe). Age 93, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Pasadena, CA, surrounded by the love of her family and in the presence of her daughter, Regina DeFeo and her granddaughter, Gabriella Perry. From her birth, in Detroit, Michigan on May 15, 1927 to her death on Monday, she nourished people around her with love, faith and kindness. Shirley was the loving wife of the late John DeFeo and a loving mother to Sandra, Francesca and Regina DeFeo and the adoring grandmother to Gabriella Perry. After attending College at Marymount in Tarrytown, NY and Los Angeles, CA, Shirley modeled in Miami Beach, FL and later was a real estate agent. Shirley loved and was accomplished at golf, riding horses, swimming, oil painting and singing. Once settled on Park Avenue in New York and as her children grew up, Shirley worked tirelessly as a fundraiser at Marymount School of New York. She was equally as passionate about art and antiques and worked for many years at Guild Antiques in NYC. An avid animal lover all of her life, she donated her time to help animals in New York and Palm Beach, FL. In honor of her love for animals, please make a donation in her name to the Humane Society of New York -- 306 East 59 Street, New York, NY 10022 (212) 752-4842. www.humanesocietyny.org
