Well dad it's been a year today that you have been gone from us and I know it's supposed to get easier but it hasn't. I still have a hard time going down that road that I have to go down everyday to get to work and thinking I see your truck there with you in it!! I am going the long way today just to have some PEACE on this day and to remember you not the way I found you this morning a year ago but the way I remember you when you were our "PAPA"!!! You were so comforting and peaceful and always there to help and hug. You showed me what a grandfather should be when I had Hunter.... you truely loved her!!! Im so sad that she got to see the side of you that you became before you died , thats not the Papa you were. You used to play with her and go with her to the beach and build her things and babysit her...thats the Papa we loved!!! I still have so many questions that will never be answered and so many times that I need my dad and your not here.....My peace is in knowing that you are now my angel and watching over us everyday!!! I know I wouldnt have gotten through this last year without that knowledge. You give me strength!!! I hope you are happy now and in no pain!! I Love You and miss you with all my heart!!!!?!? Goodbye Papa.....Peanut

When I asked her how she knew she said " I saw a pretty yellow Butterfly like Papa used to bring home to me and it flew around the yard, flew around me and landed on Papa's trailer and just sat there a while!" My Husband and I knew Ron as a very helpful person. I rememeber talking to Ron on one occasion and telling him I was afraid at night because my husband worked second shift. He said if anyone bothers you just call me no matter what time it was, and he would be right there to help. When ever we hear a lawn mower from now on we always will think it is Ron, because he was always out in our neighborhood cutting someones grass. Rest in peace Ron you will be missed. Our smypathy to his family are prayers are with you.

I wish i would have met Ron, earlier in his life, when times weren't so hard for him. I have been around Ron for the past 4 years, and i have learned so much by just watching him and the way he is with people. He was and still is very appreciated. To me, Ron was not a man of words, he had his own way of showing that he cared. His actions definately spoke louder than his words. I remember in the mornings before school my car wouldn't start, noone was around to help me, and Ron would watch me from the window trying to fix the car myself. I would get so aggravated, that i would just have someone come and get me and leave my car home. This happened a lot. One morning it happened, again and Ron got out of bed, came outside with his tools, and helped me get my car started, he didnt say a word to me. but he didnt have too, just by him getting out of bed and showing that he cared ment a lot. He scared me and cathy when he told us he had video cameras around the house, so he knew what time we could get home and whether or not we broke curfew. me and cathy spent days looking for the video cameras. Ron, i know your in a better place and im glad all your hurting is gone. you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will meet again some day and hopefully we can get to know eachother a little better, and u can let me know where those video cameras where hiding!!! Brenda Hunter & Daddy, time with heel your hearts and Ron will be in our hearts forever. we will all reunite one day. Hang in there. xoxo

I have had the privelege of knowing Ron the last seven years as my father-n-law and the only dad I have ever known. I have learned a great deal from him by working with him which i know will be very helpful. Ron could build things i believe no one else could. Ron taught me alot about the woods and hunting. Ron helped me get my first deer in georgia. Brenda, Hunter, Hailey and I got to spend time with him in Georgia riding the three wheeler and four wheeler spending time in the woods that I know he loved. Ron has left us way too soon but I know he is not in pain anymore. He will be watching over everybody helping us in his own way as he always did. I hope that I can be half the man, father, and husband that he was. I will take care of your Peanut(brenda), (hunter) Bear, and your other grandaughters Hailey and Holley. I PROMISE!!!!! I will miss you Ron!!!!!

your son-n-law, John.

Brenda, your Dad would be very proud of you right now. You are going through the hardest time of your life and you are handling it very well. You be strong and remember that your Dad loved you and Hunter. I know you both will miss him but he's not hurting anymore. You've got an angel watching out for you now and don't forget that.

Ron was part of our family on 56 ave in Ocala. We all knew he had it rough with all of his financial and medical troubles. Everyone loved him. Yes he would always be there for anyone who needed help. He just loved the kids and would share anything he had with them. He will always be in our hearts and prayers. May the good Lord take care of him now and take away all of his troubles and pains.

I got to knmow Ron years ago when I was a sixteen year old snot nosed kid working at my grandfather and step grandmothers fish camp where Ron had his hunting cabin. He let me hang out like one of the guys with him and his buddies just like I had known him all of my life . Even though I had not seen him in a couple of years I will miss him. I owe him for some of my fondest teen age memories. I'm sorry for your loss and God bless you.

RON AND I WERE MARRIED FOR 19 YEARS , TOGETHER FOR 24 YEARS. I CALLED HIM MY LOVEABLE, HUGABLE "TEDDY BEAR" . WE WENT HUNTING, FISHING, CAMPING AND ENJOYED RAISING THE GIRLS AND TOOK CARE OF HUNTER BEAR. HE WAS A QUIET MAN BUT WHEN YOU NEEDED HIM , THERE HE WAS. HE GOT SICK OVER 15 YEARS AGO AND HAD A LOT TO DEAL WITH. WE GOT DIVORCED IN 2003. I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM BUT THREE TIMES SINCE THAN BUT I REMEMBER ONE CHRISTMAS HE GOT ME A MICROWAVE. HE KEPT TEASING ME SAYING WE WERE HAVING BEAR MEAT FOR DINNER. I OPENED THE MICROWAVE AND HE HAD PUT A BIG PANDA BEAR INSIDE. HE DID THIS BECAUSE I LOVE BEARS. WHEN MY FATHER DIED HE STOOD BACK AND WATCH BUT WHEN I NEEDED HIM THERE HE WAS. YOU COULD ALWAYS DEPEND ON HIM. HE WORKED HARD ALL HIS LIFE TO MAKE HIS FAMILY HAPPY. BJ "PEANUT" I AM SO SORRY HE REACHED A PLACE WHERE HE COULDN'T HANDLE THE PAIN ANY LONGER BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER HE LOVED YOU AND HUNTER BEAR WITH ALL HE HAD LEFT. MAY GOD BLESS YOU, BE AT PEACE TEDDY. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ron at the Sheriff's Office in the 1980's when the fleet maintenance facility was located at Maricamp and then at its present location. Ron was always a "good guy" and someone I enjoyed spending time with. Rest in peace, Ron!

Pappa will be missed so much!! Rest in PEACE Pappa!!!

My dad was a quiet man but LOVED to help people!! He was the hardest worker I knew. Anyone who knew him I think would agree with that!! Even though he was very sick and in tremendous pain constantly he would still find the strenght every morning to get up out of bed and go help who ever needed it. He was very dedicated!! He loved to be outdoors, hunting was his passion and Cordele,GA. was his home away from home. He fished when he was able. He was a quiet man when it came to his feelings but I always knew he would be there for us and love us. He loved his grandaughter Hunter very much and when she was little practicaly raise her when I was at work. He was a good Pappa and will be missed more than he ever knew!!!!

Ronny really enjoyed life and the outdoors. His favorite time was when he was in the woods hunting. I know that he will be missed by his family and friends.
