Thomas Jost Obituary
Thomas Joseph Jost, age 19, passed away on September 6, 2014, surrounded by his family and Buddy at his side.
He was born on October 5, 1994 in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul and Lisa Jost.
Thomas was a 2013 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, where he was involved in the A+ Networking. He was then nominated to participate in an IT program at the University of Akron which led him to be certified in CompTIA on July 24, 2012. Thomas was employed at HHGregg before advancing his career to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. He was an avid car enthusiast with affiliations to the Ohio Miata Owner's Association and the Northeastern Ohio Mustang Club. His most recent passion was customizing his lil' Slammed Blue Smurf Miata. Thomas enjoyed family time, which included holiday gatherings and cookouts and was instrumental in making these times happen. Thomas had a deep passion for the dogs in his life, Roxie "Chin Chan", Quila and especially, Shelby.
Preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Jo; grandfathers, Jerold F. Jost and Joseph E. Hamerick; Thomas is survived by his father, Paul T. "Tom"; step mother, Angie Steen; siblings, Michael, Sabrina, Remington, Sarah and Savannah; grandmothers, Ruth Jost and Joanne Hamerick. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and especially his cousin, Chuckie.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., Akron, where eulogies and remembrances will be shared at 7 p.m. Please visit www.hummelcares.com to share memories or condolences.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. It was a pleasure to take care of Thomas. I have never seen a fathers love demonstrated so strongly as you did Paul, I know he felt it everyday.
