I just read about the passing of this magnificent man today, and you have my sincere sympathy.

Dr. Currens was periodically in my life over several decades. I would not expect you to know me, as there are many of us from BW who could say that. He was my realistic, supportive, encouraging professor, and my motivating student teaching supervisor in 1971. Dr. C was also a mentor in those early years of teaching and a resource for my master's at BW in the 80's. I received the "Outstanding Educator Award" at BW in 2004, a few years after he received his, and I stated then that he was one of the main reasons why.

I always looked forward to seeing him at BW events and that ever-present grin was always accompanied by "Of course I remember you!" But then, I think he said that to us all.

There is no doubt in my mind that your memories are many and loving. As are mine.

Thank you.

Persis, Lance and Lisa, Blake and Tan1a and families.....we LOVED Jim. What a great sense of humor he had. When I (Carol) got my M.B.A. (International Management) at Baldwin- Wallace, I learned that Jim was a legend there. My marketing professor Dr. Dieter Wassen spoke highly of him. And in recent years, when BW representatives have visited me here in Portland,OR, Jim's name always came up. We are so sorry. He was a beloved man of God.
