Theodore "Ted" Alexander, 73, died November 4, 2004.

Mr. Alexander was born and raised in Akron and was gradu ated from West High School and Kenyon College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953- 1955 in Korea and was the president of The Kraus-Alexan der Construction Company and The Akron Realty and Improvement Company for many years. Ted was active in many service organizations including: F.O.P.A. #31 (President 1975 and 1976), Secretary of F.O.P.A. #31 for 23 years and was awarded life membership in 1983; Honorary membership in the F.O.P. #49 was awarded in 1993; the state F.O.P.A. honored him in July of 2003 with the Presidents' Award. He belonged to the following Masonic Orders: Coventry Lodge #665 F. & A.M. - Akron; Cuyahoga Falls Chapter No. 225 R.A.M.; Cuyahoga Falls Council No. 144 R. & S. M.; Cuyahoga Falls Commandery No. 83 K.T.; Val ley of Akron A.A.S.R.; Tadmor Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. He was also a member of the Charles Faust Post #281 American Le gion, the Akron Power Squad ron (Program Chairman and on the Board of Directors), Rotary Club of Akron (Past Director and awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship), The Builders Exchange of Akron and Vicinity, Inc. (Presi dent 1974), The Homebuilders Association of Akron (Past Di rector), Kenyon Alumni Association of Akron-Canton (President 1966). Mr. Alexander enjoyed camping, boating, reading, and family.

Preceded in death by his par ents, F.G. and I. Pauline Alexander; daughter, Janet; sister, Frances Watson; and lifelong friend, Ward B. Gordon; sur vived by his wife of 48 years, Carol; sons, David (Kathleen) and John (Francine) Alexander; grandchildren, Rebecca and Theodore Joseph "T.J." Alexan der; brother, Benjamin (Valeria) Alexander; sister, Antoinette Loving; and many nieces, neph ews, and dear friends.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, TUESDAY from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. (Masonic service will be held at 7:00 P.M.). Memorials may be made to the F.O.P.A. Scholarship Assistance, F.O.P.A. of Ohio, Inc., P.O.
