Wallace J. Hamlin

Wallace J. Hamlin, 78, of Mantua Township, died Friday, June 10, 2005.

He was born in Alliance, Ohio, on March 6, 1927, the son of the late Kenneth E. and Jo sephine K. (McLean) Hamlin. A resident of Mantua Township for the past 48 years, Wallace was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Mantua America Legion Post 193, Ravenna Moose 1234, and enjoyed bowling at Twinstar Lanes in Kent. He had been a mechanic and vehicle inspector at Ameritech in Cleve land, retiring in 1992.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Donna. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 28, 2005. He is also survived by his son, Kyle J. (Sharon) Hamlin of Aurora; daughter, Misty L. Hamlin and her significant other, Dennis Palmer, both of Streetsboro; brother, Kenneth A. (Mary) Hamlin of Nashville, Tenn.; sis ter, Donna J. (Herbert) Bar telme-Buran of Mentor on the Lake; brother-in-law, Robert Yu has of Parma; grandson, Brad L. Hamlin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brad L. Hamlin, and sister, Frankie M. Yuhas.

There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Streetsboro Kidney Center, 9200 Staples Dr., Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.
