Evelyn Reger Obituary
Evelyn was born November 5, 1925, to Clifford and Olive (Bay) Cruise in Mogadore, Ohio. She lived in the Akron area all of her life, except for a three month period in California.
She attended Springfield High School, then went on to become a LPN, and worked at Akron City Hospital, and Eaton Corp. as their dispensary nurse. Evelyn was a member of Springfield Fellowship Church. She enjoyed getting together with her S.H.S. Alumni 1943 girlfriends for lunch.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles; daughter-in-law, Penny; and first husband, Lawrence Finlaw; she is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Charles ``Gene' Reger; sons, John (Wilma), and Roger (Wendy); daughters, Sue (Roy) Drumm, and Brenda (Ed) Bennett; step-daughter, Becky (Randy) Spear; sister, Helen Garlando; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved to talk with on the phone.
Evelyn was a very loving and caring person who was devoted to her family and friends. We will all miss her terribly.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28th, 12 noon, at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron 44312, with Rev. O. Homer Burkett officiating. Entombment at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Rd., Akron, OH 44312.

Christmas is here again mom, and how I wish you were too. As I decorated for Christmas I thought of you and how you always loved my house this time of year. 12 years is hard to believe, sometimes it feels like yesterday. So many things have happened in those years, and each time I wanted to call you and share the news. Its really hard not to be able to do that. Ed misses you as well, and will say when he needs your advice, "I sure wish Mom was around, she would know what to do". Think of you everyday, until I can see you again Brenda

Christmas is over, and all is quite now, just sitting here thinking of the day, it was as crazy as always, and full of laughter from the kids running thru the house with excitment (as you know) but just wasnt the same without you here. I miss calling you every night, wish Heaven wasn't so far away. Rest in peace Mom, I love you "more".
