Mary Oltean Obituary

Mary Beth Oltean (Toth)

Mary Beth Oltean (Toth), 96, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 after a long illness.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church. She was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Guild, Hoban High School and Our Lady of the Elms High School Mother's Clubs, the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Air Patrol during World War II. She was also a nurse's aide at St. Thomas Hospital during the War as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Toth; daughter, Stephanie; grandson, Donald Oltean; brother, John Toth; and sister, Virginia Bogdan. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George; children, George (Janie) and Donald (Felicia) Oltean and Karen Lee Hudson; grandchildren, Staci (Justin) Johnson, Pierre (Diana), Ethan and Sierra Oltean and Corrinne and Nicklaus Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Grace Bickel, Bryanna Johnson and Emanual Oltean.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333, where Mary Beth will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301, where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
