Ronald Pierson Obituary
MOGADORE -- Ronald F. Pierson, age 84, passed away October 13, 2015.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 23, 1931 and lived the majority of his adult life in Mogadore. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War, and won several medals boxing while in the service. After the war he went to night school to receive his high school diploma and then attended classes at the University of Akron. Ronald worked nearly 30 years at General Tire until the plant closed in 1984. He was a member of the Mogadore Moose Lodge where he had many friends, and enjoyed fishing and watching Ohio State football.
He was preceded in death by wife, Pat; daughter, Patti (Pierson) Clark; parents, Robert Pierson and Grace Pierson Unger; brother, Kenneth Pierson; and sister, Roberta (Pierson) Zagray. He is survived by his children, Rhonda (Myron) Midcap and Rob (Nancy) Pierson; grandchildren, Joshua Midcap, Laura Clark Cale and Danny (Amber) Pierson; and great-grandchildren, Joshua Midcap, McKenna Midcap and Brady Cale.
Family and friends will be received TODAY (Thursday), from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260. A memorial service/wake will be held Saturday, 4 p.m. at the Mogadore Moose Lodge, 4095 Mogadore Road, Mogadore, OH 44260. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Dear Pierson Family,
My heart is with you all at this difficult time.
Ron & Dad were such great friends ever since they were kids. In fact, Dad still carried a picture in his wallet of Ron, Carl Sabatino and himself at Euclid Beach when they were teenagers.
