Ginger L. Coffman, 82, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Born in Akron, Ohio to Dayle and Florence (Mackey) Zehnder, she resided in Mogadore her entire life and graduated from Mogadore High School. Ginger enjoyed bowling, tennis, walking, gardening, annual trips to the beach, going to the family farm in PA, attending country concerts (was always a fan of Elvis) and most of all, spending time with her family.
Ginger never earned a dime, worked hard as a gardener, nurse, mother, babysitter, wife and best friend but was paid with tons of love.
In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by infant son, Kevin; siblings, Bill, Dayle, Steve, Tim, Jim, Lucy, Mildred Ann. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Bob; children, Ken (Kathy) Coffman, Kim (Ron) Davis; grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle), Josh, Kevin, Nate, Kyle, Nick, Daniella; great grandchildren, Brook, Kylee, Deacon, Dutton; brother, Duane Zehnder; sister-in-law, Garnett Zehnder; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, January 19, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, January 20 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Ginger's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
