Dewanda I. McVicker, 84, of Wadsworth, OH, formerly of Kent, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Wadsworth Pointe, where she was a resident for five years. She was born in Akron on August 28, 1936 to the late Theodore and Anna Gribble. She was an avid West Virginia Mountaineers and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved flowers. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. In addition to her parents, Dewanda was preceded in death by her husband, Grandville McVicker and her brother Frank Gribble. She leaves her children, William (Sheila) Kane of Ravenna, Terri (Todd) Brady of Medina and Elwood (Kim) Richardson of South Carolina; grandsons, Cody Kane, Scott Brady, Zach Brady and Nicholas Brown; great grandsons, Nicholas T. Brown and Logan James Brown; great great granddaughter Elizabeth Brown and her niece Roseanne Botham of California. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00P.M.-6:00P.M. at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240 followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00P.M.
