Well it's been almost a year and not a day goes by that I don't think of you and miss you terribly. My heart will forever have a hole in it, but I can still feel your love as much as ever. I know I told you this when I said bye, but thank you for loving me so much. Rest in peace. I love you.

Calvin,
I'm so very sad I can't just pick up the phone and talk to you. I have so much to tell you. My incredible respect for you and your compassion to help family and friends in their time of need will live on forever; To love your children and do whatever it took to keep them safe and free of worry; to have such passion in life for many things and the love for others; to be such a wonderful son and brother making your little Momma proud and making PeeWee happy.
When I met you I immediately thought, this guy is so Cool!! and I've loved you ever since. I guess I've always thought you would live on forever Leroy! Your charisma, charm and strength was always a huge attraction and I thought you would stay forever healthy and young. You always had a story that either made people laugh, or a story that would share lessons in life. You had a brillant way of communicating with folks to get your point across.
Your infectious smile and laugh made everyone around you happy and feel special, especially the ladies. Lots of wonderful times my dear. I will forever miss my precious friend!
Enjoy the tranquility around you now as you rest in a peaceful place.
May God Bless You and Keep You and Make His Face to Shine Upon You. My thoughts and prayers are with Anita and your lovely family!

It's been a week since you passed away and I can't get the heaviness off my heart, I miss you deeply. I know that there are many people that loved you and you could lite up a room and get a party started, you also could be very firm and honest, that made people love you even more, but family meant the world to you, so we are all trying to help each other out during these dark days. Niki and Lindsey loved you sincerely and are missing you immensely, but you got to see them grow up and become such great young ladies, I know you were proud of both of them. I am happy that they got to have you in their life as long as they did…
I am blessed that you were my dad and as long as I live, you will live; as long as I live you will be remembered; and as long as I live you will be loved! I hope you are resting in peace and I know that you love me.
Love you always

I can't believe just day before yesterday we laid you to rest. Today is my birthday and what I wouldn't give to hear Happy Birthday from you one more time. Even though Rhonda had to remind you most of the time, I still looked forward to the phone call. I know you wouldn't want me to be sad on my birthday. I have decided I am going to honer you the best way I know how and live life to the fullest and love my family with the passion that you did. I love you.

Dad -- There are no words that can describe what you have meant to me, nor for how I am feeling, the void without you here. You have been a great role model for me and helped me become the man that I am today. You have shown me how to be a loving and caring father. You have shown me how to be a smart businessman. You have shown me how to be a great friend. I know that I will never be able to fill your shoes, even if they are smaller in size. I will not even try to fill them but I hope someday I can set my shoes beside yours and know that I made you proud as a son to you and as a father to your granddaughter. I could share numerous stories with people, but those are my memories for just us to share. I miss you more than words can describe. I love you !!! -- Your Son, Charles

We met Calvin through my sister and brother-in-law, Jack and Carolyn Blankenship. In short time we saw what a wonderful, fun and generous person he was. It was truly our pleasure to have known Calvin for the short time we did and will miss his wonderful smile.

There will never be another Calvin. That is for sure. My condolences to all his family and Anita. I am proud to have been a part of his life and family. He taught my son a lot about work ethics and helped raise him to a fine young man. For that I will be eternally grateful. I choose to remember the good times and that is what he would have wanted. God bless Callie for keeping me informed during his illness. I got to hold his hand and say goodby. I will miss his phone calls and popping by The Store or my house to say hi. Rest in peace Calvin. The old man from the mountain went home, rest in peace.
Briefly to his friends and for future reading to our grandchildren.
Calvin and I married in 1957/1980 and had 3 children. Calvin was an ambitious person always having two or three jobs and fixing up an old car on the side. He worked at many jobs, one was for a dollar an hour at a leather company, we had $38:00 a week to live on, by counting the slices of baloney and bread for lunches all week he made it a practice to put $5:00 dollars a week savings!
He didn't tolerate that very long, so we barrowed $20:00 & a credit card from the Rahmoellers and on the road to Ca. we went! Here I was a county girl 15 never been in a big city and he goes into this pool hall/ bar in southern Ca.( tells me to wait in the car) and comes out 6 hr's later with enough money to get an apartment , pay car payment and by Monday had a great job at General Motor's. Not the end of the story, he barrowed our Landlords car with a trailer to haul lawn mowers and did that on the side. So needless to say he was ambitious!
I have many stories to numerous to mention here, but know he was well liked and loved by many. He touched many people's lives.

My condolences to the Watts family and friends. I worked with Mr. Watts for nearly 10 years and I'm blessed for having that experience. He was a tough man. He was a man from a different generation, a generation that is disappearing before our eyes, unfortunately. While tough, he was fair and he always let you know where you stood with him. He was a no BS kind of man. I will miss him. Jim Belobraydic

I am Calvin's cousin. (Second son of his mother's younger brother Jesse) It's odd to say you have a cousin who's 29 years older than you. Growing up, he was usually just a name who was mentioned in conversation about family. We lived in Washington State and didn't get back to Oklahoma often enough for me to really get to know Calvin growing up. I had the good fortune of getting to know him better over the last several years. He turned out to be everything he was billed out to be, and then some. I found his passion for life very inspiring. I was fortunate enough to get to talk to him a few weeks back. I told him I wished I'd known him better over the years.....that his motivation and drive to succeed would have been a wonderful influence on my life. It is unfortunate that people like Calvin have to leave us.....but I will always keep a bit of him in my heart, to help sustain me when the waters of life get too rough. Rest in peace my cousin.....you will be missed.

You were so full of life, I never realized you were growing old and tired. I don't think I ever really thought about what it meant for you to go. You were so charismatic and even at your worse it was so easy for me to love you. You taught me things that I didn't even realize I needed to know. I can't imagine my heart will break anymore. There will not be a day that goes by that I won't miss you and think of you. I love you, Dad.

There are few word than can express my warm thoughts and how much I liked and respected Calvin. He and Clark were two of my first "men friends" who made me feel welcome as a newcomer to Ok City and the good old days of the "Store Club" and our friendship(s) last(s) over the years. My warm regards to Anita, Janie and Children and extended family members and circle of friends he introduced into my world. I will always smile when I think or speak of Calvin and all the fun he brought to the table of friendship.

My brother was my best friend and brother. I guess you could say he raised me when he rescued me when I was in the 8th grade, there is no telling where I would be today if it hadn't been for my big brother. He was always there for me my whole life if I needed him. My brother had a Big Heart in helping people in there time of need. Calvin feed alot of families over the last 50 years by keeping us all working for C. Watts. There is no words to say how much I will miss by brother. Calvin and I sure could pick up the girls years ago in our white panten shoes and red pants. They new when the Watts boys come into a club there was going to be some parting going on. I Love you big brother and will miss you everyday for the rest of my life. Rest in Peace. Your brother PeeWee.
