Cheryl Ord Obituary

Cheryl J. Ord, 48
October 5, 1972 - April 18, 2021

Cheryl Jean Ord, 48 of Glenwood, passed away on April 18, 2021, from COVID-19 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. She was born Oct. 5, 1972, in Harlan to James and Maxine (Mayberry) Ord.
She was employed as a Nebraska Services Company Coordinator of Development Disabilities and was a part-time employee at Lane Bryant in Council Bluffs.
Cheryl loved gardening and actually planted banana trees every year in her yard and would dig them up to keep them in her basement until the next spring. She loved feeding the hummingbirds and especially loved her dog Ace whom she considered her baby. You wouldn't find a more loyal friend than Cheryl and she always had a smile on her face. We have lost a kind and caring person.
Preceding Cheryl in passing were her grandparents George and Mary Ord and Louis and Lola Mayberry; Uncle Max Mayberry, infant brother and cousin Adam Blake. Survivors include her parents Jim and Maxine Ord of Glenwood; sister Jane (Jim) Brodigan of Glenwood; nephew Tyler (Ashlee Ball) Wolfe; niece Brittany (Jordan Miller) Wolfe; great-nieces Cheyenne and Emsley and great-nephew Braxton; aunts Louann (Brad Case) Mayberry, Lucille Ord, Barbara Mayberry, Marie Wickham, Alene Ord; great-aunt Ann Mayberry; extended relatives and many friends.
Services were Friday, April 23, 2021, at Peterson Mortuary.
Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
