Dearest Daddy, you were the best father in the world. I was so happy and lucky that I got to call you 'Dad'. I miss your hilarious sense of humor and guidance. You taught me how to sew, do arts and crafts, and learn how to drive, which must have been a harrowing thing at the time!
I miss you every moment of every day. You were such a beloved father and grandfather. I'm so sad that you passed away, but know that Mom was waiting for you with open arms when you crossed over into Heaven. You were the most salt of the earth, honest, and helpful man.
When you passed away, I felt sorry for our family, but we knew it was best that you crossed over into the next realm as Alzheimer's robbed a lot of your memory and sense of humor.
Not only was Mom in Heaven to greet you, but I'm sure that your mom was also waiting--with a steaming platter of her famous chicken and polenta.
Happy Father's Day, Daddy. I love you to the moon and back!
Your loving daughter,
Dilys

I was sorry to see that Leonard passed away. He was a co-teacher at Rowe Jr. High for many years who was very dedicated to his students and a good friend. I lived in AZ after retirement, so lost touch with most of the staff, but will always remember his jovial greetings and smile. My condolences to Jean and family.
