Hubert H. Durden Jr.

DURDEN, JR., HUBERT H. Hugh) died January 29, 2009 in Greensboro, N.C. Hugh was born in Daytona Beach, FL, March 6, 1932 and was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert H. & Clara Lorraine Pierce Durden. He is survived by four sisters, Clara Marlene Durden, Patricia D. Coker, Linda D. Nash and Sharon (Sheri) D. Smith; one nephew and three nieces; four grand nephews and two grandnieces. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and a friend to many. Hugh attended school in Savannah, GA, and University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. He served in the National Guard and the United States Air Force. Hugh moved to Florida in 1956. He lived in Winter Park Miami, Orlando and
Maitland. He worked for Lawton Brothers, Inc. in Orlando for 37 years. He has been an Episcopalian since 1950 and was a member of Trinity Anglican Church serving as a Lay Reader and Chalice Bearer. Hugh was a devout Christian who practiced his faith. Memorial Services will be held at
Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Park Ave & 4th Street, Sanford, Florida on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 4PM In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the Church or a
charity of your choice.
