I am also Mabel's daughter. My sympathies to all of you on the loss of your Dad. Mom always told me that Uncle Creighton and Uncle Wade were like brothers to her, the three of them growing up together in Hillsborough. Mom's mom was Hettie and I believe they lived with Della and Winn for a time in the 30's. Blessings to you all.

To my Steeves cousins,
I am sorry to hear about Uncle Creighton's passing and would like to extend my sympathies to you all. I last saw he and Diana about 15 years ago at my parent's home in Maine. He and my mother were cousins (her name was Mabel Martin Ahlsen, daughter of his aunt Hettie Steeves Martin). Please know that you all are in my thoughts.

Chris and Family,
We wanted to let you know that you are in our hearts, prayers and thoughts now as you say your personal good-byes to your dad. One thing to keep in your minds and hearts, is all the happy and joyful times you spent together.
When you look up to the sky tonight, and you see the brightest twinkling star, that will be your dad, winking down at you, to let you know he is at peace, with your mom and will be watching over you from up above.
Please take comfort in the those happy memories.
We will be thinking of you.

My sympathies to you and your families. I will always remember your mom's wonderful smile, and your dad's sense of humour. I have many fond memories of my school days that include them both.

To all the Steeves family:
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. I have only good memories of Creighton; who I met frequently at Alvin Brown's machine shop. He was a very brilliant man who I will always have great respect for. I was privliged to call him a friend. May god be close!
