To the DiBartolo family:
Rosalind and I would like to express our sincere condolences on the passing of a good friend and colleague.I worked with Fred for many years and availed myself of his many talents and experience. His passing was a shock to us personally and, doubtless, to the whole C&E community that he was so much an integral part of.

Dear Diane, Mike and Marielena, although I haven't seen all of you in quite some time, I still think of all of you very fondly. The short amount of time I was privileged to spend with you, I was always made to feel like part of your family. I know you're surrounded by amazing friends and family, and mine and myself extend our sincerest condolocences in these hard times.
Many warm thoughts and much love,
Julie and Family

Diane: It was with surprise and great sadness that we read about Fred's passing. Although it has been a number of years since we last saw each other, Fred's joviality no doubt remained. Our sincere condolences to you and your family and to all the Dibartolos in the loss of a husband, father, brother and friend.

It was a shock to hear of Fred's sudden departure. Fred was a very valuable fixture in DGCEEM and DGISDS for many years. He was a colleague who brought integrity, loyalty, dedication, professionalism and most of all a true sense of team work and sincere consideration for people. I will always have the most respect for his contributions to DND and the CF. Fred, you will be missed by family and friends. Our prayers accompany the DiBartolo family in this time of grief.

To Fred's Family
I was deeply saddened to hear of Fred's passing. Fred was a great person at work, I never had the pleasure to work for Fred but his employees were the envy of many in the Division. He was well respected and loved by his staff and I can only imagine how much he will be missed by his family.

His gentle mentoring and fatherly wisdom inspired me and had a strong positive impact on my life and career. I grieve with you and pray that you find peace in knowing how wonderfully he affected the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him.
I regret that I am out of town with the military and unable to attend services.

Fred DiBartolo was my boss for two years and my friend. During my first few months in DTSES, he was quite adamant that I call him Fred, but my Army background and my stubbornness would have nothing to do with that, so I took to calling him "Mr. D.". If there was one word to describe Fred, it would be loyal. He was intensely loyal to those around him. He was always there when I needed him.
Diane, to you and your family, I wish to pass on my deepest regrets for your loss. And yes, make no mistake about it; those who he worked with will miss him.
Signed - Major Zenith Keeping

It is with great sadness that I wirte a few notes of my memories of Fred. I worked for Fred - actually I will rephrase that - I worked with Fred in DTSES for several years. As a newly promoted Major, it was great to have a mentor and boss who treated you with respect and kindness. He truly encouraged the people around him to think, come up with ideas and gave us the lattitude to press forward. I learned a lot from Fred, be it sitting in his office talking about the latest directives or around the 'Stammtisch' table in the Air Force Mess over a pint or two. He was a great boss, an outstading friend and exemplary person. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace my friend.
