Cookie will always be with us in our hearts. Her memory, we cherish .... she will always be "Cookie" to us ....the only person we know who suited that name .... always positive, open and happy. Cookie was positive until the she left and she left us far too soon. We are thankful that Cookie found her soulmate and peace on Ruskin Island. Your loving brother Dick and sister-in-law Lynn

We took the Departure Bay Ferry to John and Gina's, in a rare Nanaimo snow storm, to say our good byes to our friend Georgette prior to her own departure.
The ferries depart late - Georgette much too early.
There she held Court, as if still in her lovely garden. She was surrounded by family and friends. Even on such a significant occasion, Georgette made everyone comfortable and led us all in recounting hilarious - if exaggerated (not by me of course), stories of shenanigans through the years with the "island people".
We feel strongly that Georgette is still with us. Ready with the "bon mot" as we step into the eternal otter droppings while launching the trusty, if leaky, dinghies of our lives.

Georgette (Cookie)
Things I wanted to say at the memorial gathering but just couldn't.
You were a wonderful sister and friend. I could always count on you and talk to you about anything and you were always supportive of me on my bumpy road of life. I will miss you soooooo much. You will always be in my heart, and rest assured that I will always be there for Mike, Cass and Allen.
All my love forever and it's not goodbye it's until we meet again.
Your loving sister Susie

Allen, Michael, Cassie, Suzie, and family,
Our sincere condolences to all of you at this difficult time. We are all thinking of you and the great memories we all have sharing special moments with Georgette and all of you, especially at Ruxton Island and your visits to Victoria, BC. Georgette was a one-of-a-kind person and we will remember her often, especially enjoying those warm summer days in Otter Bay with our bag of cheezies and G&T in hand! Cheers Georgette! We will miss you, your visits and your beautiful garden. Love Always, Bohdan, Ingrid & Tasha Jarisz

Mom, I love you, I miss you, you'll always be in my mind and in my heart.
You once told me "Remember you do not have to aquire a great deal of material possesions to make you happy in life. Truth, honesty and compassion for the planet and your fellow man are the most important!!"
Sound advise from a wise woman.
love your son,
Mike
