I only knew Joe in a "Helper" role, as he laboured to help Barbara carry paintings, etc. He was also at the odd social function in connection to ART functions.
I absolutely adored him! Cheery, full of jokes, helpful, and just exuding good will, I always looked forward to sharing a few words with him. I remember him in his early 90's offering to help schlep paintings for those much, much younger in age.
Joe was very special, and it was my privilege to have even a peripheral connection.

My heartfelt sympathy to the whole family, but especially to you dear dear Barbara in the loss of Joe. Wish I could hug him just once more as I used when I came to visit you both. My tears flow for you Barbara. May Joe rest in peace and may you find comfort in the memories of your shared life together. May God be with you in your grief. Feel embraced by me Ute
