BRINTNELL, Joseph Nelson
Of Millbridge/Ottawa slipped peacefully into eternal rest, on Friday, February 26, 2016, at the St. Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, in his 96th year. Joe was predeceased by his wife Kathleen, brother Harold, sister-in-law Ruby, and sister Ruth. Joe is survived by his loving wife Barbara of Ottawa, and his three children, Larry (Karen), Susan (Vince), and Vincent. Much loved Grampa Joe by his seven grandchildren, Kari, Justin (Tammy), Leigh (Sidonie), Eric, Tara-Kay, Amelia, and Logan, and Uncle Joe to his nieces and nephews. Joe also had close ties to family in Germany; his mother-in-law Hella Schneider (deceased), his brothers-in-law Hans-Joachim Schneider (Helga Apfel), Ernst Schneider (deceased) and Erich Schneider (Brigitte); and sister-in- law Eva Ruthild Schneider-Schmitt (Andy Schmitt). A gifted woodsmith, Mr. Fix-It par excellence, WWII veteran, teacher, builder, creator, innovator, gardener, farmer, craftsman, engineer, architect, machinist, mechanic, entrepreneur, and most important, Dad!
