Dear Van Duyvendyk Family,
Our sincere sympathy with the passing away of your dear father. Just recently, we discovered that he had passed away. We knew your dear family 30 years ago and visited you many times in Ottawa. We really appreciated their gracious hospitality. To our regret, we never knew they were in Brampton Holland Christian Home. Every Sunday, our church friends from HCH come to our home for fellowship and they knew Nick and Mary. May the Lord continue to be with you and bless you all. Sincerely, with christian love, Sophia, Ted, Sophia and Robert Nebitko.

On behalf of the Mudde family I would like to extend our condolences on the passing of your Father, Grandfather, Greatgrandfather Nico. Our family friendship goes back to Lekkerkerk,The Netherlands,in the early 50's into the 90,s. When Marry and Nico lived in Holland Christian Homes, as did our Mother who passed away there in 2009. We would meet in HCH, during the hymn sing, and other activities, meet for a coffee it was always a pleasure to enjoy their hospitality. They were always considered part of our extended family.
My you be comforted by the fact that Nico had a daily living experience of his faith, and knew that when the end came his God would take care of him.

To Nick's family : I met Nick over 20 years ago, when, as a board member of The Union Mission for Men in Ottawa, he hired me for the position of administrator. At that time there were few women staff at the mission. He was supportive, gave good advice and was a wise and thoughtful person. His deep Christian faith and his sense of values made him a good mentor. I value the time that I spent under his direction. May God welcome him to His Kingdom. My sympathies to the family.
