Kathleen Sheehy Obituary
Greens Fork, Ind. - Kathleen J. Sheehy, age 83, of Greens Fork, Indiana, died Monday, April 5, 2021, at Reid Health.
Kathleen was born September 1, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Ann Lung Daniels. She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years, retiring from Reid Hospital and later working at Friends Fellowship Community. Kathleen was co-owner of Astro Cutting Tool with her husband. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Kathleen was also a member of the Eastern Indiana Gem & Geological Society, Whitewater Valley Fiber Arts Guild, and Weaving Indiana. She enjoyed raising sheep, cashmere goats, and Chianina cows. Kathleen loved spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, Indian culture, and horses. She also enjoyed making wreaths, creating jewelry out of rocks, and bird watching. Above all, her husband, children, and grandkids were the loves of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Ron Sheehy; children, Jeff Fox of Dayton, Ohio, Barb (Bruce) Clayton and Chris Price, both of Richmond, and Julie (John) Hahn of Holly, Michigan; grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, Darren, Declan, Elliott, Ivan, Jason, Joe, Melissa, Scotty, Shannon, and William; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Ayden "Tico", Chevelle, Jack, and Kinsley; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Leonard; son, Scott Sheehy; parents; and sister, Maryann Koyle.
Visitation for Kathleen J. Sheehy will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 235 South 5th Street, Richmond, with Fr. Sengole T. Gnanaraj officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home and church.
Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 240 South 6th Street, Richmond, IN 47374.
