Family-Placed Funeral Notice

EDWARD ZECCA Edward Zecca, 82, of Jupiter, FL, died Monday morning, November 27, at his home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Dolly, who died March 24 of this year. He was a native of Morris Plains, NJ and had made Florida his permanent home for the past 15 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a self taught builder who started his love for the business at a young age. He had a successful building business in New Jersey. During his career he was appointed to the Planning Board of Denville, NJ. Mr. Zecca also was the Building Inspector of the Township of Denville, NJ in the 1970's. He loved talking about the building and real estate business with his family who were all involved in the industry. Throughout Edward's life he was known for his witty sense of humor. He is survived by his devoted children, Pam Zecca and Melissa Zecca of Palm Beach Gardens, Christopher Zecca and his wife Christina and Peter Zecca of Tequesta; and four grandchildren, Chelsea and Chloe DeLois of Palm Beach Gardens and Colton and Casey Zecca of Tequesta. Friends may call from 4-6 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Aycock Funeral Home, Jupiter, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, December 1, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Palm Beach Gardens. Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL. Donations may be made in Edward's name to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or to National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
