Hubert WOLTJER Obituary
Age 87, of Lantana , FL and Rabun Gap, GA passed away October 4, 2012 at his residence in Rabun Gap. He was under Hospice care. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1925. After marriage he and his family moved to Lake Worth, FL in 1957 where he was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers Union and retired after 50 years and then opened a bicycle store in Lantana, FL. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving for three years in the Atlantic and Pacific during WW II. Hubert was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda and son, William both of Lantana, FL; his mother, Adelaide and his father, Hubert Woltjer of Grand Rapids, MI and sister, Adele Lampkin of Atlanta, GA. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Arlene (Alkema) also from Grand Rapids; a granddaughter, Lauren and a grandson, Justin both of Lake Worth, FL; a godson, Wayne Proctor of Boynton Beach, FL and a godson, Erick Fischer of South Palm Beach, FL. Also, survived by nieces and nephews. Hubert was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
