Sorry to hear of Annette's passing, all these years later. We went out in the early 90s, for awhile. We met at the apartment complex we both lived at. Your comments about her love of animals and her dry wit were always a big part of her, even back then. Before she was into Josh Groban she had another singer she loved... Geddy Lee from Rush. I might have introduced her to their music, I can't remember. I was a big fan and still am. RIP Annette.

Annette was such a dear friend to me over the years, I will never forget her friendship and all the care she had shown to me. Devastated to lose her without getting the chance to meet in person; one day that time will come but until then I will miss her terribly; she was a truly special lady. Thoughts and prayers with all her family at this time.

Annette and I played Words with Friends and had fun doing so. I never knew how advanced her illness was. She had a dry sense of humor and I enjoyed her tweets. RIP my friend.

Youz (Annette) as we called each other on twitter, emails, are sorely missed.
Your love of nature, our oceans, animals, your beloved sister and your beloved cat, Socks.
Your honesty, dry humor and love of Josh Groban's music, which brought us together, will always keep you in my heart.

We met on Twitter. Her love of animals, Josh Groban and her humor touched us all. We didn't have to meet, we understood each other. Rest easy my friend and enjoy peace at last.

Although we only knew each other via social media, I considered Annette my friend. She was always there with an encouraging word for me. I'll miss her dry wit, and our shared fondness for otters, Groban and cooking. RIP my dear friend, give Socks a squish for me and I'll give Picard a squish from you.

I'm sorry you had to go. I have the copy of Bill Shatner's Leonard Nimoy mosaic poster here for you still. Give Socks a big cuddle from me x

I used to chat with Annette on twitter...she was very nice and we had Josh Groban in common. I don't think we ever met even tho we lived sort of close to each other..I live in Show Low. This is sad news. I'm so sorry. My condolences to her family.

Annette, I am sorry we did not get a chance to meet in person. You were stronger than I could have been under your circumstances. You kept fighting your illness and for the life you really wanted. You were forthright, tough and opinionated; and why shouldn't you be? You had every right rage against that disease and push for what you needed. That it was not, in the end, enough, breaks my heart. Thank you for sharing yourself with me, even for a short time that we were GrobieSistahs. You were much more than that. Every time Amy posts on Facebook, I expect to see a follow-on post from "Penny," and I am always sad when it does not arrive. You are missed. I hope that somewhere, you know how much. As smoosh Socks for me. Love you, girl.

Annette was a great friend though we never met. Her humor was great and her support came at just the right time. She will be greatly missed by all she touched...me especially.

Annette and I were Grobiesisters and Twitter friends for a long, long time. I knew she was ill but she didn't let me know how serious it was. I hate that she is gone and I will miss her, but I know that she is at peace, reunited with Socks, and that one day I will see her again. My love and prayers for her family.

Annette (AZ Grobie to me) loved animals and had a sly wit. We both shared a love of Star Trek. I will miss her humor and compassion. My thoughts go to her family.

I was shocked by Annette's death. I knew she was suffering but she didn't let on how much pain she was in or how advanced it was. She was a Twitter and a Facebook buddy who also loved Josh Groban's music. Her humor will be sorely missed.
RIP dear Annette❤

I knew Annette for a relatively short time, but she touched me. Annette was smart and had a wicked sense of humor. She was very interested in the welfare of sea creatures and animals in general. I enjoyed our time sharing banter on Twitter with other friends. She is so missed.

Annette was my friend. We met through the fan-website of artist Josh Groban, and continued our friendship on social media. I shared her love for nature and wildlife, homecooked food, and I loved her sense of humour. She had always wanted to travel and see the world - I hope she can do so now. She is with her loved ones and, I believe, her cat Socks whom she missed so much. I will miss her dry sarcasm and her realness. Rest, Annette. One day we'll get that hug.
