I was reminiscing about high school and looked up Mr. Leggett. So sad to read of his passing. I was a student at La Sierra from 1978-1981 and he was by far my favorite teacher. I loved all his classes: Fiction and Fantasy (or "Fic and Fan" as Mr. Leggett referred to it), Science Fiction, American Literature, and Speed Reading. He acquainted me with so many great fantasy and science fiction novels. Such a great sense of humor. I'll never forget his "Still asking for Am Lit-5 in the upper right" when we were working on a test. Or "Write this down, please". Best teacher I ever had. Rest in peace, Mr. Leggett.

Ed, your passing brought me to tears. Many memories remain:
- Your confident, competent leadership during departmental meetings
- Your dedication to LSHS
- Your exceptional love for literature
- Your captivating smile and personality
I will see you on the other side.

I taught with Ed at La Sierra High School in the early 1990s. His vast knowledge of literature, music, and sports, along with a love of good food, ensured that we would become immediate friends. He was a kind man, an exemplary professional, and a good friend. Ed was truly unique, as anyone fortunate to visit his "Hobbit House" and sit in his barber's chair can certainly attest. I am saddened by his passing, but consider it a privilege to have known him.

Mr Leggett was my 9 grade math teacher at Norte Vista High School. I remember him fondly because he saw that I was extremely shy and made great effort to get my parents and my other teacher's to give me extra help in this area. I spoke to him 4 or 5 years ago and told him how much I appreciated his concern! RIP Mr Leggett and thanks again! Lou "Edna' Bailey Class of '71

I read with sadness the passing of Ed Leggett. As the librarian at La Sierra I had close contact with Ed and always came back with a smile on my face. His grin, his sense of humor, his love of literature made him very special. I shall miss him.
