My aunt Ginny was my only aunt and inspired me to pursue an engineering degree at the University of Michigan. My only regret was I didn't take her advice about getting into computer engineering instead of aerospace engineering. Ironically, she lived to be 89, the same age my dad Douglas was when he passed away 6 years ago. I only saw her and her husband Welden when they'd fly their plane from California to Florida at Christmas to be with my grandparents and my family. I'll never forget the plane ride over the Gulf of Mexico when Welden took his hands off the wheel of the Cessna and said you're flying now Phil. Their second plane was an aerobatic Cessna model and he did a loop-d-loop without any warning. My weak stomach couldn't take it but I still enjoyed the experience.
