I regret to learn of the loss of David. I have vivid memories of him from Pensacola High School in the band my senior year and in physical education. He was one of the most clean-cut guys I have ever known, always cheerful and with a kind word for everyone, a real Christian. I enjoyed very much hearing him play his trombone, which was also my instrument and I believe that he sat nearby when we performed. My condolences to Bill and the Barrow family.

Dear Barrow family,
we were stunned to hear the news of David's passing last week -- our deepest sympathies go out to all of you. I'm thankful we had a chance to spend some time with all of you when we were in the States several years ago, and even more thankful when I think back on my conversation with David. The fruit of David's relationship with Christ was evident, not just through his words but through his actions and kindness toward us. I look forward to the day when we will see him again, and pray that you would experience the peace and love of our Father during this difficult time.

Linda,
Robin and I are so sad to read of David's passing. We both knew him at Brownsville Middle School, and I had the privilege of teaching with David for several years. He was such a pleasure to spend time with, and he was always the life of the Christmas faculty parties! We enjoyed hearing him share his stories of the family camping trips. Actually, David is the one who inspired us to start doing our own outdoor adventures. We know you will miss him terribly, but you will meet him again in heaven. May God bless you and the kids and give you strength to get through these difficult days.

Linda,
You will never know how shocked Denise and I were when we heard of David's homegoing. I know that we have not seen much of each other through the years, but we did keep up with the two of you through Tom, who taught with David at Ransom and my sister. Many times we talk about Granada and the good times we had and we think of your family and David's also. May God richly bless you and the kids and David's family now and the years to come. I lost my mom three years ago and I know that God does give grace to sustain us through hard times. We will pray for you and think of you often. Again, may God bless you and the kids and the grandchild.

Bill, I am truly sorry to hear about David. We went to school at Workman Junior High and PHS. He was always a great person to be around. Though I know you all will miss him we shall all be together again. He is there waiting with our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I offer my deepest sympathy to the Barrow Family. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. May our LORD console your hearts and bless you all during this time.

To the Barrow Family,
I was in the band at PHS with David. He was a very sweet and sincere bandmate and classmate. He always had a smile for everyone and was forever helping anyone who needed it.
I'm sure he is playing the trombone in Heaven's Symphony.
May God be with you during this time of grief.

We were both shocked and saddened to learn of David's death this week! He and Linda were both friend's and neighbor's and it will be difficult to no longer see them together strolling about in the neighborhood. He was such a sweet and pleasant person. Even tempered, friendly and all in all a joy to have known. Raymond and I both want to extend our condolences to his family as well as his church family @ Immanuel Baptist church. This week as difficult as it is to accept David was promoted.... today he is present with our Lord. Well done good and faithful servant. Sincerely, Susan and Raymond Spears.
