1924-2009

Louise Hardwick Waters, 85, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 in a local area hospital. Louise, a native of Wilmington, NC moved to Pensacola in 1962 from Richmond Hill, GA with her family. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, Goldsboro. Louise became a well known artist in Pensacola as well the Northwest Florida area. She owned Hutsons Hardware with Jack, her husband and favorite dance partner. Louise was also an avid tennis player, a member of Watercolor USA Honor Society and Artel.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie Roscoe Hardwick and Hattye Sloan Hardwick, her husband Jack C. Waters, Brother Robert Sloan Hardwick and grandson Blake Rapier.
She is survived by: her sons Brian Waters and wife Lynn, Doug Waters, and Roger Waters and wife Diana, daughters Susan Rapier and Janet Waters all of Pensacola, sister, Patricia Hardwick Daughtry Keir, eight grandchildren; Jeffrey and Michael Waters, Skeets, Hutson and Raleigh Rapier, Sterling, Sean and Ashleigh Waters and two step grandchildren Matthew Tisdale and Meredith Watkins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 East Gregory Street with a reception to follow at 5:00 PM at the Pensacola Yacht Club.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Louise Waters to the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, PJC, 1000 College Blvd, Pensacola, Florida 32504.
Internment at Barrancas National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

I grew up around Louise and her family, and all the memories i have are quite fond :)..the art, and fun..all the cheeze itz and coca colas she'd give me for a snack...I'll never forget.:) She'll be missed greatly.
