1946-2013
Cesar Herrera passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was a retired Master Chief from the United States Navy, former president of the Filipino-American Association of Pensacola, owner of CD's Town Fiesta Restaurant, which later became the Manila Garden Restaurant and past president of the Filipino-American Republican Club of Pensacola. He was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Cesar was preceded in death by his parents, Dominador and Nimencia Herrera.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Divina Herrera; children, Rialyn (Ryan) Santos, Winson (Rosselle) Herrera, and Chris; grandchildren, R.J. and Rachelle Santos; brothers and sisters, Efren (Espie) Herrera, Evelyn (Romy) Pereyra, Rowena (Moises) Ilagan, Edwin Herrera, Jun Herrera and Edith (William) Vitalich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Officiating will be Reverend Father Joe Callipare, Monsignor James Flaherty and Deacon Jerry Williamson. The Rosary will be at 6:30pm.
Mass of Celebration will be at 7:00pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 325 South Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL. Burial will be at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
