DR. BARRY R., June 27, 2010. Husband of Arlene (nee Rudney). Father of David Halpern (Samantha Chaikin), Michael Halpern and Adena Halpern (Jonathan Goldstein). Brother of Dr. Arnold Halpern (Barbara) and Faith Halpern. Grandfather of Noa and Asher. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Tuesday, 11 A.M. precisely, GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St. Interment Haym Salomon Memorial Park. Family will return to his late residence. Contributions in his memory may be made to Jefferson Medical College.

Though I only had the good fortune of knowing my father-in-law for the last five years, it was more than enough time to see what a loving, caring, funny man he was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dear Arlene and Family,
We were saddened to learn of the loss of your dear husband and father. How proud he always was of his beautiful wife and children.
Our memories of Barry are of a sweet man with a twinkle in his eye, and a smile for everyone.
Not only did he render wonderful care to so many of our patients, but he did so with kindness, good humor, and compassion.
Those qualities always endeared all of us to him.
It was an honor and a privilege to have him as a friend and colleague.
May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue through all of you.

I have so many great memories of Dr. Halpern's sense of humor. It is really one of the most vivid memories of my childhood growing up with David. I know he will really be missed but the memories will live on with each of us who knew him.
