NOEL SCHMIDT Obituary
NOEL F. JR., 83, formerly of Broomall, on August 19, 2014, in California. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan (nee Monihan); his daughter, Lisanne Messinger (Peter); sons, Jeff (Carol) and Eric (Elia); his brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his son, Noel III. He played football at West Catholic H.S., Univ. of Penn and the Navy. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a successful businessman owning and operating Noel Schmidt Furniture in Lansdowne for over 60 years.
Memorial Mass Saturday, 11 A.M., in St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

I first met Noel 69 years ago when we enterd West Catholic in September, 1945. Always a clssa act - an outstanding football player, an absolute gentleman and good friend - my sincere condolences to his wife and family on their loss.

Dear Joan,
It has been many years ago when we were very young,I am so sorry for you and your family on your loss of Noel.Years go by and we lose touch with our child hood friends.I remember when Noel and I made Rubber band guns as a hobby in grammar school.We grew up in a nice neighborhood and most of my friends from Drexel Hill are now gone.Hope you are Well.
