Even though I had left the neighborhood and eventually the city, when I would run into Dave, it was always like a day hadn't passed by. He is often mentioned still and I was so sorry to hear this news. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I Remember Dave as a pleasant, fun loving soul. We were grade school and neighborhood friends. On occasion our paths would cross and he was still the same warm and friendly guy I remembered.

I remember Dave back in the day (Mid to late70's). Dave was a neighborhood fixture and hung out on Magee Ave. in Tacony. Dave sometimes rode his bike, but generally walked the neighborhood.
Dave's favorite corner hang-out spot was near an old store on Magee with a side stairway that was painted white. Dave was so reliably in that spot that we could give directions using him. We'd say, "Head down Magee and hang a right at Dave."
Dave was a little older than me, but he hung out with my sister and her crowd. However, I knew him and he was always good to me. After all of these years (about 40 or so) I never fail to think of him when I pass that spot. It's sad to think I'll never see him there again.
I'm sorry to hear that he's gone.

David was the first person I met upon arrival / settling in Philly that welcomed and treated me like a fiend - always as happy to see me as I was him whenever / wherever we ran into each other--
I will miss that furry smile ----
