PICKENS — Edith L. France, widow of Roy H. France, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at her home in Pickens.
Born in Belmont, New Hampshire on Jan. 24th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Irene L. Robida of Middletown, Connecticut.
Surviving are two daughters Chris Puchel and Mary Heath, three sons, Leigh Puchel, Noel Puchel (Debi) and Jeffry Puchel. Survivors also include two sisters, Jeanne Hubbard and Barbara Robida, two brothers, Philip Robida and John Robida (Jane).
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roy France, son Clifford Puchel, sister Suzanne Smith, brothers Richard, Paul and Bernard Robida.
Mrs. France was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and played the piano for the Bible Class. She was a musical instructor for thirty years and had the only accordion marching band in Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced at Grace United Methodist Church.
